SYMPHONIE+REGCM training session Nov. 2025

During the 4th International Vietnam Conference on Earth and Environmental Sciences (iVCEES, Nov. 2024) an emphasis was made on issues related to coupled ocean-atmosphere processes and recent works based on a fully coupled ocean-atmosphere physical model over the South East Asian seas were presented. The ensuing discussions suggested that the CORDEX-SEA community was very interested in such configurations.

Therefore, the GINCCO network, the LOTUS International Lab and the SIROCCO group at LEGOS organize a 3-day training on the Symphonie ocean model coupled to REGCM atmospheric model, in parallel to the last days of the 5th iVCEES conference in Quy Nhon. The training is aimed at junior or senior scientists who plan to use Symphonie+REGCM, and who already have experience with numerical modeling.

The training will take place from Thursday Nov 27 in parallel with the last day of iVCEES-5 until Saturday Nov 29 at the ICISE Center, Quy Nhon, Viet Nam.
