The French National Observation Service PIRATA is a scientific observing system dedicated to the continuous monitoring of the tropical Atlantic Ocean. Using a network of instrumented moored buoys, it measures key oceanic and atmospheric conditions to improve understanding of climate variability, climate processes, and their impacts. PIRATA/Tropical Atlantic Variability workshop 2026
The PIRATA/Tropical Atlantic Variability Workshop 2026 will be held from 17–20 November 2026 in Marseille, in the south of France. The main purpose of the meeting is to bring together the PIRATA community and, more broadly, the Tropical Atlantic community, and to foster interactions. Topics may cover any activities related to PIRATA and the Tropical Atlantic.
