Anny Cazenave is emeritus scientist at the ‘Laboratoire d’Etudes en Géophysique et Océanographie Spatiales’, Toulouse, France, and formerly director for Earth sciences at the International Space Science Institute, Bern, Switzerland. Her research deals with the applications of space techniques to Earth sciences. In the first part of her career, she used space geodesy techniques to study Solid Earth geophysics. Since 2 decades, she moved to oceanography and climate research, in particular sea level rise from global to local scales. She served as officer in the science committee of the World Climate Research Programme and as Lead Author for the sea level chapters of the 4th and 5th assessment reports of the IPCC.
